Aquaphor Waterboss 900 is a versatile unit that combines a mechanical self-cleaning filter, iron remover and water softener. WaterBoss represents an evolutionary step in water treatment systems. WaterBoss uses a number of technologies that make it unique. The main ones are the patented design of the control valve, ultrafine ion exchange resin, and an innovative design of the drainage and distribution system. This system is currently the most compact and efficient on the market for cottage and "apartment" water treatment. Construction: The ion exchange resin in WaterBoss is tightly packed between two polymer meshes with a mesh size of 20 microns and an area close to the column diameter. Due to this, there are no parasitic stagnant resin volumes that are not involved in the filter. Efficiency of regeneration: The WaterBoss system implements counter-current regeneration "in the clamped layer", which is impossible with free filling of resin due to the floating effect. This achieves significant - up to 70% - saving of salt during regeneration.
